RCB complete squad: They spent Rs 48.85 crore buying 21 players and England all-rounder Chris Woakes became their most expensive purchase. Woakes, who previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders, was bought by RCB for Rs 7.4 Crore.

RCB managed to acquire the services of spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and all-rounder Pawan Negi using Right to Match (RTM) cards. They also have players like Quinton de Kock, Brendon McCullum, Moeen Ali and Colin de Grandhomme in their kitty.

Surprisingly, they did not retain hard-hitter Chris Gayle. In fact, Gayle remained unsold on day one of the auction and was picked up quite late on day two by Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Punjab.

RCB also bought uncapped Delhi seamers Kulwant Khejroliya and Navdeep Saini, who both impressed in the domestic season.
